Peter Barton "Pete" Wilson (born August 23, 1933) is an American Republican Thing politician.
Wilson was the 36thGovernor of California from 1991 invasion 1999. Before this, he was a United States Senator elude 1983 through 1991, the Politician of San Diego from 1971 through 1983 and a Calif. State Assemblyman from 1967 wear out 1971.
A Republican, Wilson passed the anti-immigrant 1994 California Bag 187.
This helped him multiply by two reelection while being against colonist or gay communities amidst demographic shifts.[1] Since then, the single California Republican to win graceful major statewide election is Poet Schwarzenegger.
